We offer a variety of rides including overnight adventures, beginners to experienced. 1.5 hour rides to get to know your horse. Overnight adventures into the high country above Waiouru, to a rustic Lodge with spectacular views, with home cooking and the sounds of native birds and horses grazing.

The Waimarino Golf Course is now equal to any in the area. The greens and fairways are well maintained to national standards and the Club is renown for well-run tournaments, including the 2003 NI Under-19 Championships. Club Days - Men & Women, Sunday tee off 12.30pm. Women, Wednesday - 10.00am tee off. Sundays, 12.00pm tee off. Twilight Golf, Every Thursday during Daylight Saving, tee off between 4.30pm and 6.00pm – Non-golfers welcome.

SLR is now at two locations – Station Lodge, Ohakune Junction and at Vertigo Climbing, downtown Ohakune. SLR has been providing Mt Ruapehu skiers and boarders with quality equipment since 1997. Both shopts are open 7.30am weekdays, 7.00am weekends. At Station Lodge, until 6pm, at Vertigo, until 9pm. Both open until midnight Fridays. SLR offers a full weather warranty. No riding – no rental.

New Zealand river holidays

Since 1979 Canoe Safaris has offered unique river holidays for clients with little or no river experience – from families with children to many clients over 60. Our World-experienced, professional guides are trained in first aid, river rescue, local history and also produce superb 3-course meals. We are members of the NZ Rafting Association and offer trips on the Whanganui, Rangitikei and Mohaka Rivers.
